Swimming Fundamentals/Drowning Prevention Workshops

Description:
This workshop focuses on the fundamentals of being comfortable in the water. We start talking, then walking in the water, then learning to control our motion in the water, then protecting our eyes, ears, and noses in the water, then moving slowly toward floating skills. The goal is comfort and we move at your pace

Cost: $15 (total) for the 3-hour workshop. 
     Note: Only 1 workshop per person per year.
 

Adult Accelerated Learn to Swim Workshop (May 22-24)

A summer’s worth of lessons in a single weekend (11 hours over 3 days)

 
 

 

Description:

This workshop focuses on the fundamentals of being comfortable in the water. It starts with the basics and then builds all weekend, including optional opportunities to learn and play in deep water. It is designed specifically for adults with little or no water exposure, including those with a history of fear or trauma related to the water. You'll learn how the water works with your body, how to control your body and mind in the water and how to comfortably breathe in the water.

Deep Water Comfort Workshop (June 7 & 8) 

 

 

 

Description: 

This workshop focuses on increasing (or perhaps creating) your comfort in deep water. If you are comfortable in shallow water, but you’re not comfortable in deep water, this is for you. The workshop moves at your pace. No rush. No push

 

Dates: Sat & Sun, June 7 & 8, 2-5pm each day. (6 hours total)

Cost: $249 non-members, $210 current members.
